A leading healthcare organization in the UK is seeking a motivated Senior Biomedical Scientist for a fixed-term 12-month contract. The role involves routine specimen dissection, technical support, and providing supervision within the laboratory. Ideal candidates must be HCPC registered and have completed the IBMS Specialist Portfolio, with an emphasis on delivering a high-quality service. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and innovative Senior Biomedical Scientist for a fixed term 12 month contract in our newly refurbished Cellular pathology department. The post holder will be expected to work closely with other senior staff across pathology to deliver a high quality service to our users.
The department operates an extended working day, Monday – Friday, between 7am and 6pm. The successful candidate will be expected to work on a rotational basis within these hours, which also includes a 1:5 Saturday rotation. The department has UKAS accreditation and IBMS training approval, and CPD is actively encouraged. Cross site working may be required as the pathology departments at North Tees & Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust collaborate with services on both hospital sites.
