Job summary

A leading academic institution in Greater London seeks a motivated Senior Laboratory Technician to support large-scale biobanking for the Genetic Links to Anxiety and Depression Study. The ideal candidate will have a BSc/MSc and strong knowledge of DNA/RNA processing techniques, as well as high throughput DNA sequencing. This role requires excellent communication skills and teamwork ability. Full-time position with a two-year fixed-term contract starting April 2026.

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of DNA/RNA and blood processing techniques.
• Experience in a research laboratory.
• Ability to manage workload and resources independently.

Responsibilities

• Support large-scale biobanking for the GLAD study.
• Ensure accurate sample tracking and data linkage.
• Contribute to laboratory reports and maintain detailed records.
