Job summary

A leading infrastructure contractor is seeking an experienced Senior BIM Technician for a long-term contract. This role, based in North Acton, Euston, or Ruislip, offers a hybrid working arrangement with three days on-site and two days remote. Responsibilities include managing high-quality 3D models and collaborating with teams to ensure project standards. Candidates should have substantial experience with 3D modelling and tools like OpenBuildings Designer and Revit. Strong communication skills are essential for success in this project team role.

Senior BIM Technician

Location: North Acton, Euston or Ruislip (3 days on site, 2 days remote)

Contract Length: 9‑12 months

Rate: £45‑£50 per hour (Inside IR35)

I'm currently recruiting on behalf of a leading infrastructure contractor for an experienced Senior BIM Technician to join their project team on a long‑term contract basis. This role offers the flexibility of being based from North Acton, Euston or Ruislip, with a hybrid working arrangement of three days on site and two days working from home.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce and manage high‑quality 3D models in line with project requirements.
  • Lead on data configuration and ensure accurate asset data implementation across all BIM outputs.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to maintain standards, resolve design queries, and ensure information flow aligns with project BIM strategy.
  • Support BIM coordination, clash detection, and model federation where required.
Key Requirements
  • Proven experience in a Senior BIM Technician role within major infrastructure or large‑scale construction projects.
  • Extensive 3D modelling experience with a deep understanding of model structure, workflows, and information management.
  • Strong experience using OpenBuildings Designer and Revit (essential).
  • Ability to work autonomously and contribute to strategic BIM processes.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with engineers, designers, and project leadership teams.
