Senior Audiology Administrator

We are looking for a Senior Audiology Administrator to join our friendly audiology team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a service that provides audiology care for adults and children.

We are looking for an enthusiastic team player with excellent communication skills, attention to detail, who is proficient in all Microsoft applications. This position would suit someone looking for a full and varied position and has the ability to adapt to changing priorities.

As a Senior Audiology Administrator, the post holder will provide comprehensive administrative support to the Audiology Team.

The post will involve greeting patients and responding to queries face to face and via email and telephone, effective time management, managing schedules ensuring appropriate and timely communications with all relevant personnel; arranging meetings/events; dictation typing; dealing with patients and queries face to face and over the telephone; effective management of electronic correspondence and documentation management systems.

Main duties of the job

• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with departmental and Trust guidelines and/or national policies and procedures. Identify issues and act accordingly.
• Monitor, manage and maintain effective processes within their area of responsibility resolving issues as appropriate.
• Be responsible for dealing with all contact whether in person, on the telephone or in writing, with our clients in a professional manner ensuring relevant standards are met.
• Undertake reception duties including booking clients in, answering telephone queries, issuing hearing aid consumables and up‑dating client's records.
• Liaise and effectively communicate at all levels using written, oral and electronic. Use tact and persuasion to deal with sensitive issues as required. In particular to be aware of the need for communication strategies relevant to our client population many of whom have hearing loss. Also ensuring that communication is in an empathetic and understanding environment.

Job responsibilities

• Undertake typing of clinical reports to be attached to the clients record held in Auditdata (EPR).
• Maintain high quality standards by ensuring that the data entered onto Trust systems is accurate, complete and up to date. Systems include EPR, Choose & Book and Auditdata (Audiology specific EPR).
• To receive requests for building/amending clinics from lead clinicians and action within standards and according to agreed clinic rules.
