Senior Architect

Location: Portsmouth

Salary: £45-55,000 (depending on experience)

We are working with a highly regarded and established architectural practice in Portsmouth that is seeking an experienced Senior Architect to strengthen its expanding team. Known for delivering creative, sustainable, and client-focused solutions, the studio has a diverse portfolio spanning commercial, education, healthcare, and mixed-use developments.

This is an exciting opportunity for a driven Architect who is ready to step into a senior role, lead major projects, and play a key part in the continued growth of a progressive and design-led practice.

Key Requirements
  • ARB-registered Architect with solid post-qualification experience in UK practice
  • Strong design and technical expertise with advanced Revit skills (essential)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of UK building regulations, planning policy, and RIBA work stages
  • Proven ability to lead projects from inception through to delivery, ideally within education, healthcare, or commercial sectors
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with experience managing and mentoring teams
  • Demonstrated success in managing multiple projects, budgets, and deadlines
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Residing in, or within easy reach of, Portsmouth
Role Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership within the studio, supporting, guiding, and mentoring junior staff where required
  • Act as a key liaison for clients, consultants, and contractors, fostering strong and lasting relationships
