Senior Architect | Leadership Role | Portsmouth Area

Konker is partnered with a respected multi-disciplinary practice near Portsmouth to recruit a Senior Architect to lead and grow their architecture team.

This is a key strategic hire, offering a leadership role within a team of 11 architecture professionals. You’ll take charge of mentoring Architects and Technicians, overseeing project delivery, and ensuring quality and consistency across a varied portfolio.

The practice delivers projects across commercial, MOD, education, and healthcare sectors—offering the variety and challenge suited to an Architect who thrives on both design and leadership.

You’ll remain hands-on, working alongside your team to review, produce, and coordinate drawing packages. Most work is delivered in AutoCAD, with Revit used for reviews and integration.

What We’re Looking For: Senior Architect

• Qualified Architect with team leadership or management experience
• Strong background in commercial architecture (MOD, healthcare, and education experience a plus)
• Confident balancing people leadership with technical delivery
• Able to support and develop others while driving project success
• Comfortable working with clients and managing deadlines

This role is primarily office-based, supporting team collaboration, with some flexibility for home working. Candidates must be eligible for DBS Enhanced and SC Clearance, having lived in the UK for at least 5 years.
