Senior Adult Learning Tutor - British Sign Language (BSL) | 8533 | Annualised hours Permanent Contract | (0.3 FTE) | £37,280 to £39,152 per annum pro rata (Scale I) | County Hall, Norwich

We are looking for a qualified, skilled, self‑motivated, enthusiastic and highly organised individual to provide inspirational teaching to learners in British Sign Language (BSL).

You will be required to work closely as part of the Foundation Learning Skills curriculum team to deliver high quality teaching to Norfolk residents.

You will be dedicated to improving life outcomes for post-19 learners and will deliver sessions online and/or in the community throughout Norfolk.

Skills and Competencies
  • A learner‑centred, active approach is necessary, along with an appreciation of the added benefits of virtual and hybrid learning.
  • Excellent ICT skills, including Excel, Word, Microsoft Teams, web‑based learning programmes and ability to learn in‑house database systems.
  • Exceptional organisational skills including an ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Work well within a team environment.
  • Awareness of data protection, safeguarding, Prevent, British Values and information management.

If you have the relevant vocational or occupational skills but do not currently hold a teaching qualification, Adult Learning may be able to provide funding to help you obtain the required qualification.

You will be part of a well‑established, supportive team and training will be provided.
