Role: Senior Accountant / Portfolio Manager
Salary: £37,000 - £40,000
Location: Banbury

Overview:

Quinton Davies is working on behalf of a well-established, large regional accountancy practice based in Oxfordshire who, due to expansion, are looking for a Senior Accountant / Portfolio Manager to join their Banbury team.

Ideally, my client would like somebody who can hit the ground running and is coming from a similar role in another firm; however, they will consider experienced and/or qualified Seniors who would like to step up into a more managerial role.

Main Duties:

1. Providing guidance and support to junior team members
2. Review of management accounts and VAT returns
3. Preparing management accounts with more technical requirements
4. Preparation and review of annual statutory accounts and Corporation Tax returns
5. Preparation and review of self-assessment tax returns
6. Overseeing client deadlines and helping the team to prioritise their workload
7. Effectively managing client communication

Experience / Qualifications Required:

1. Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/QBE)
2. At least 5 years' experience in practice
3. Experience of UK GAAP FRS 105 and FRS 102
4. Experience of sole trade, partnership, and limited company accounts
5. Enthusiastic, with a can-do attitude and positive mindset
6. Excellent attention to detail
7. Enjoys and sees the benefit in developing others
