• 35 years experience in accounts preparation (practice-based non-audit).
• Confidence using (or willingness to learn) a range of accounting software.
• Strong Excel and general office skills.
• Excellent time management with the ability to meet deadlines independently.
• A team player who is equally comfortable working autonomously.
• Strong communication skills and a professional client-focused approach.

Responsibilities

The Role

As an Accountant you’ll play a vital role in delivering high-quality accounting and tax services to a diverse client base. You’ll be hands‑on with accounts preparation, tax compliance and client management while also supporting junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing accurate and timely accounts and financial statements
• Managing income tax and corporation tax compliance
• Working across multiple accounting platforms including Iris, Sage, Xero and FreeAgent
• Liaising with HMRC on tax and compliance matters
• Building strong relationships with clients and confidently handling queries
• Gathering and reviewing client information efficiently and accurately
• Mentoring and supporting junior staff with accounting-related queries
