Overview

We are looking for a compassionate and adaptable SEN Tutor to support children and young people in Morpeth. This role involves working 1:1 and in small groups, delivering tailored lessons at pupils’ homes and within the community. You will play a key role in building trust with learners and families, supporting both academic progress and personal development.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in English, Maths, and core skills.
  • Adapt teaching for pupils with SEN, SEMH, autism, ADHD, and additional needs.
  • Work with learners in community and home settings, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
  • Track and report on pupil progress.
  • Promote engagement, resilience, and wellbeing.
Requirements
  • QTS, PGCE, or relevant tutoring/teaching experience.
  • Experience supporting children and young people with SEN/SEMH.
  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
  • Flexible, reliable, and able to work independently.
  • Own transport desirable.
