SEN Teaching Assistant – Stockport

Are you a compassionate and committed individual with a passion for supporting children with special educational needs (SEN)? Do you have experience working with children in a classroom, care, or support setting? Whether you're an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant or looking to begin a meaningful career in education, Academics has a fantastic opportunity waiting for you!

We are currently recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to work across primary schools in Stockport and the surrounding areas. These roles are ideal for individuals seeking flexibility, valuable experience, and the chance to make a lasting difference in pupils' lives.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide tailored 1:1 or small-group support to pupils with a range of special educational needs (including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social-emotional needs)
* Create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that encourages progress and independence
* Support pupils with emotional regulation, and daily routines
* Adapt to different school environments while maintaining a consistent, calm, and positive approach

Role Requirements:

* Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN (in school, residential, or care settings)
* Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential)
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
* A proactive, patient, and empathetic attitude
* Right to work in the UK
