A reputable educational services provider is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant in Newham to support children with special educational needs. The role involves working closely with teachers, providing tailored support, and fostering a safe learning environment. Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant needed for Newham
Location: Newham
Pay: £90 – £105 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:00pm
Contract: Long-term, Full-time

A friendly and outstanding primary school in Newham is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. If you’re experienced, compassionate, and love helping children reach their full potential – this could be the perfect role for you!
Support children with SEMH needs, including ADHD and self-harming behaviours
Provide tailored 1:1 and group support across Key Stages 1 and 2
Help create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment
Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to follow personalised learning plans
Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to help boost their confidence
Support with nappy changing, where required
Experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant (or in a similar role)
Comfortable supporting children with additional needs and personal care
A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection
A calm, flexible and resilient attitude
Great communication and teamwork skills
Relevant training or qualifications in SEN or child development are a bonus
