Location: Bromley, Orpington
Salary: 13.69 to 15.69 per hour
Contract: Long-term with potential to become permanent

Rikama Education Ltd. is currently recruiting for a passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school supporting pupils from Key Stage 1 through to Key Stage 3. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs) and challenging behaviour.

The school offers a supportive, structured learning environment for pupils with additional needs. Many students are working one key stage behind, allowing for targeted support and personalised learning. Small class sizes help maximise engagement and progress. You'll be part of a nurturing and professional team, including a highly experienced Senior Leadership Team (SLT).

The Role:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students across various key stages.
  • Help students engage with the curriculum at a primary level, even within a secondary-age group.
  • Support the emotional, social, and educational development of each child.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff and other professionals to create a positive and inclusive environment.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a SEN setting (particularly SEMH) is highly desirable.
  • A calm, patient, and resilient nature.
  • A genuine passion for working with young people and helping them achieve their full potential.
