SEN Nursery Teaching Assistant (Mornings Only)

Location: Newcastle-under-Lyme Primary School

Contract: Part-time, 5 mornings per week

Duration: January until the end of the summer term

Academics a leading teacher recruitment agency are working with a Newcastle-under-Lyme Primary School who are seeking a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Nursery Teaching Assistant to support their team on a supply basis. This role is based within their small, nurturing early-years provision, supporting a group of five pupils with low developmental needs.

About the Role
  • Work within a warm and supportive nurture class setting
  • Support pupils with early developmental delays, helping them engage, learn and grow
  • Assist the class teacher with delivering tailored learning activities
  • Provide emotional, social and learning support throughout the morning
  • Promote positive relationships and a calm, encouraging classroom environment
  • Work collaboratively with staff, parents and external professionals
What We're Looking For
  • Experience supporting children in Early Years (school or nursery setting)
  • A patient, nurturing and positive approach to behaviour and learning
  • Understanding of SEN and early developmental needs
  • Level 3 EYFS childcare qualification
  • Reliability and commitment for the duration of the contract
