SEN Teaching Assistant - Barking and Dagenham

Flexible supply work | 1-5 days per week

Destination Education, a specialist education recruitment agency, is currently recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to work across a range of primary schools in Barking and Dagenham. This role is well suited to candidates looking for flexible work, whether you're available 1 day per week or up to 5 days. We partner with multiple schools across the borough, offering a variety of SEN support roles based on your experience and availability.

The role
  • Supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) on a 1:1 or small-group basis
  • Assisting pupils with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH
  • Supporting the class teacher with learning and behaviour management
  • Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
What we're looking for
  • Previous experience working with children with SEN (school-based preferred)
  • A patient, calm, and adaptable approach
  • Availability for 1 to 5 days per week
  • A genuine interest in supporting children with additional needs
