Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEND Teacher to join a specialist education setting in the Swindon area. This is an exciting opportunity for a committed educator who wants to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young people with complex learning needs.

You will deliver high-quality teaching and learning to students with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), complex needs, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and behavioural/social difficulties.
You will lead a team of classroom assistants, contribute to whole-school development, and ensure all students are supported to achieve their individual goals.

This role is well suited to experienced SEND teachers or mainstream teachers looking to transition into specialist education.

Leadership & Management
  • Demonstrate outstanding teaching, planning and classroom practice.
  • Organise and lead the effective deployment of Teaching Assistants.
  • Maintain professional communication and implement school policies.
  • Attend meetings linked to curriculum, management and development.
  • Work collaboratively with external professionals and prepare reports as required.
  • Engage in performance management for yourself and others.
Achievement of Students
  • Set, review and record individual targets and progress.
  • Produce reports for assessments, reviews and parents/carers.
  • Maintain strong communication with families regarding student welfare and progress.
Quality of Teaching
  • Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet a wide range of complex needs.
  • Ensure effective schemes of work and teaching strategies are in place.
  • Create an accessible, stimulating and inclusive classroom environment.
