SEN Teacher – Peterborough, Independent SEN School. Salary £32-39k DOE. Permanent Role Term Time.

Role Description

Due to an increase in pupil numbers, Tezlom are looking to recruit Teachers to support young people within an Independent Specialist School in Peterborough. The school supports children from the ages of 9-19 years of age. The pupils we support have an EHCP (Education Health Care Plan) together with significant physical impairment, complex health needs, learning disability and / or Autistic Spectrum Conditions.

Working with children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities can be a challenging but rewarding job whatever the role; it\'s a job that requires enthusiasm, dedication, energy, and a sense of humour. It is an essential element of this role that you are committed to implementing school policies and procedures to ensure the health, safety and general welfare of children including reporting any safeguarding concerns in an appropriate and timely manner.

Responsibilities
  • Teach core subjects including Numeracy (Maths), Literacy (English) and ICT/Computing.
  • Support young people with EHCPs, significant physical impairment, complex health needs, learning disability and/or Autistic Spectrum Conditions.
  • Implement school policies and procedures to ensure health, safety and welfare of children and report safeguarding concerns in a timely manner.
  • Work within core hours during term time (38 weeks): 8.00am–4.00pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday; 8.30am–5.00pm on Wednesday.
