Teach Now are looking to recruit an experienced teaching assistant with a proven track record of successfully supporting young children with special educational needs, more specifically autism. This role is to work 1:1 with a young boy in year 1 with ASD. The boy needs someone who can build rapport quickly, help him through his timetable and support him with his speech and language. For this role you will need to be comfortable with personal care as he is not yet toilet trained.

The role is at a primary school in Tottenham in the London borough of Haringey. This is an Ofsted rated ‘Good’ school that serves the local diverse community. The school is dedicated to growing learners that are ‘Curious, Respectful, Creative and Ambitious’. On site there are brilliant facilities including an art room, music room, swimming pool and garden.

This is a great opportunity to join a fantastic team and really make a difference. The role is to begin immediately and will continue until the end of the academic year with an option to go permanent for the next academic year.

The school are looking for individuals that have:
  • Worked in school environment in last 6 months.
  • Proven track record of working with SEND students.
  • Ability to work according to individual educational healthcare place.
  • Valid DBS.
