SEN Support Teaching Assistant

Location: Erdington
Duration: Full‑Time, Ongoing
Salary: £95 – £105 per day

The School / Role

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Support Teaching Assistant to join our inclusive and nurturing school community in Erdington. This full‑time role involves supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ensuring they have access to a tailored and supportive learning environment.

Key Duties
  • Individualised Support: Provide 1:1 or small group support to students with SEN, adapting learning materials to meet their needs.
  • Behaviour Management: Assist in managing and supporting positive behaviour in line with school policies.
  • Learning Environment: Create a safe and stimulating learning environment that promotes students’ academic and personal development.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, SENCO, and other staff to implement and review individualised education plans (IEPs).
  • Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication with parents and carers about student progress and needs.

  • Level 1 safeguarding certificate

  • Valid Photo ID – Driving Licence or passport
  • Full DBS – on the update service or willingness to obtain a new enhanced DBS
