SEN Support Assistant

Location: Newham
Pay: £90–£110 per day (PAYE only)
Long Term – Full Time

About the role

You’ll be supporting pupils with a range of SEN and SEMH needs, helping them feel safe, regulated and able to engage with learning throughout the school day.

Your support may include:

• Providing steady 1:1 or small‑group support across lessons and the wider school day
• Helping pupils navigate emotions, behaviour and social situations
• Supporting transitions, routines and unstructured times
• Encouraging positive communication and independence
• Working closely with teaching staff and SEN leads

• Experience working with young people (SEN, SEMH, PRU or similar settings is ideal)
• Someone calm, resilient and confident during challenging moments
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport
• A genuine interest in supporting pupils with additional needs
