Job Title: SEN Specialist Tutor (One-to-One, Flexible Hours)
Location: Birmingham
Salary: £675 - £1125 Per Week
Job Type: Flexible (Part-time/Full-time)
We are a passionate and dedicated provider of educational support for children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including those with autism, complex learning needs, and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges. Our mission is to deliver meaningful, tailored, one-to-one tuition to children who are currently not attending school and are in need of additional support.
As a SEN Specialist Tutor, you will work with children who are not currently attending school, providing personalized, one-to-one tuition either in their homes or at local learning centers. You will be helping children with EHCPs who require additional support due to autism, complex learning needs, or SEMH challenges.
Your role will be to help these students overcome their learning barriers by tailoring lessons to meet each child’s specific needs. This is not a one-size-fits-all job. Instead, you’ll adapt your teaching style and methods to the individual child, ensuring they receive the right support in a comfortable, engaging, and supportive environment. You’ll be the key to helping them not only catch up academically but regain the confidence and self-esteem that might have been lost due to their challenges.
It’s meaningful work, where you’ll see the impact of your efforts first-hand. Helping a young person, who may have struggled for a long time, begin to thrive again is incredibly rewarding.
If you’re passionate about working with children with SEN and is excited about the opportunity to make a real difference, we’d love to hear from you. Please submit your CV along with a cover letter detailing your experience and why you’d be a great fit for this role.
