The Role

As an SEN Teacher, you will provide high-quality, inclusive teaching and support to pupils with a range of additional learning needs across the school. Responsibilities include:

  • Planning and delivering differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs
  • Supporting pupils with a variety of needs, including SEND, ASD, SEMH, ADHD and learning difficulties
  • Assessing, monitoring and tracking pupil progress and adapting provision accordingly
  • Creating a calm, safe and structured learning environment where all pupils feel supported
  • Working collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, pastoral teams and external professionals
  • Contributing to the development and review of personalised learning plans and interventions
  • Building positive relationships with pupils, parents/carers and colleagues
  • Supporting inclusion, wellbeing and positive behaviour strategies across the school
About You

We are looking for an SEN Teacher who is:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) preferred — ECTs and experienced teachers welcome
  • Passionate about inclusive education and supporting pupils with additional needs
  • Confident adapting teaching approaches to meet a wide range of learning needs
  • Calm, patient and consistent in their approach to behaviour and classroom management
  • A strong communicator who works effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Organised, reflective and committed to professional development
