Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting for a fully qualified SEN Primary Class Teacher to join SEN School in Harrow.

About the Roles

Prospero Teaching is recruiting for a long‑term cover position at a specialist SEN school and Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Harrow, Northwest London. The role is for a Primary Teacher; the cover will be needed for a minimum of 6 weeks and could extend further or lead to permanent opportunities.

This PRU serves students aged 5‑16 who are unable to attend mainstream schools and supports a small cohort of 35‑36 pupils. The school is rated Good by Ofsted and offers a nurturing environment to meet the diverse needs of its learners. We are seeking passionate and experienced educators to join their team.

What We Are Looking For
  • A qualified primary class teacher with experience working in SEN or SEMH settings
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Ability to plan and deliver differentiated lessons across the primary curriculum
  • Creative, hands‑on approach to engaging and inspiring learners
  • Understanding of trauma‑informed practice and supporting disengaged students
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
  • Child and Adult DBS (Enhanced Disclosure)
  • Right to Work in the UK
  • 2 Professional References
