SEN & Mental Health Support Teaching Assistant

Are you passionate about supporting young people with additional needs and helping them thrive both academically and personally? A welcoming mainstream secondary school in Lawrence Weston, Bristol (BS11) is seeking a committed SEN & Mental Health Support Assistant to join their team on a long-term basis, starting immediately.

The Role

As a SEN & Mental Health Support Assistant, you will:

  • Support pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small group settings.
  • Help students manage emotions, build resilience, and engage with learning.
  • Assist with tailored activities, personalised learning plans (IEPs), and classroom resources.
  • Promote positive decision-making, social skills, and communication.
  • Work closely with teachers, educational psychologists, speech and language therapists, and counsellors.

This role offers fantastic experience for those considering a future career in psychology, therapy, teaching, or youth work.

Key Details
  • Daily rate: £90 – £95 (depending on experience)
  • Start date: ASAP
  • Location: Lawrence Weston, Bristol (BS11)
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
