SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary School

Grays, Essex | Full-time or part-time

We are working with a supportive and inclusive primary school in Grays who are looking to appoint a SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team.

This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with Special Educational Needs, either on a 1:1 basis or within small groups, helping them access learning and thrive in a positive school environment.

The role will involve:
  • Providing tailored support to pupils with SEN, including ASD, ADHD and additional learning needs
  • Supporting pupils’ learning, behaviour and emotional regulation
  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement support strategies
  • Promoting independence, confidence and inclusion
  • Supporting pupils in and out of the classroom when required
We are looking for someone who:
  • Has experience working with children with SEN (school-based experience preferred)
  • Is patient, caring and reliable
  • Can work well as part of a team and use their own initiativeHas a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
  • Holds an enhanced DBS on the update service or is willing to apply
