About Us

Masterclass Education is working with a vibrant and inclusive SEN secondary school catering for students aged 11-19 with a range of special educational needs, including autism, learning difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health needs. The school are committed to providing a supportive and inspiring environment where every student can achieve their full potential.

The Role

They are seeking a passionate and creative IT Teacher to join their dedicated team. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and accessible IT lessons, tailored to meet the needs of their learners. You will play a key role in developing students\' digital literacy, problem-solving skills, and confidence in using technology, preparing them for life beyond school.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver differentiated IT lessons in line with the national curriculum and Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCPs)
  • Use creative strategies to engage and motivate students with diverse learning needs
  • Integrate assistive technologies and adaptive teaching methods to support access to learning
  • Assess, record, and report on student progress, ensuring that every learner is supported to achieve their personal best
  • Contribute to the wider school community, supporting enrichment activities and collaborative projects
About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • A qualified teacher (QTS or QTLS) with experience of teaching IT / Computer Science
  • Passionate about making learning accessible and enjoyable for students with SEN
  • Skilled at using a range of teaching strategies and technologies to support diverse needs
  • Patient, adaptable, and resilient, with strong behaviour management skills
  • A reflective practitioner who is committed to continuous professional development
  • Experience of working in a SEN setting is desirable but not essential - we welcome applications from teachers with a genuine interest in SEN and the enthusiasm to learn and adapt
