Job description

Cheshire West and Chester Council are looking to recruit a part-time SEN Finance Officer to work as part of the Special Educational Needs Team within the Education and Inclusion Service. This is a temporary role on a fixed term contract for 6 months.

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Finance Officer to provide financial support and advice to customers and providers. As the SEN Finance Officer you will need to demonstrate:

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include business and administrative support by processing financial activities in the Council's Unit 4 system. You will be developing positive relationships with our customers and provide efficient and effective financial support and advice to customers and providers.

Qualifications
  • A sound working knowledge of ordering, invoicing and payment systems and procedures.
  • Experience of working in financial / administrative environment.
  • Proven experience in dealing with customers, providing advice and information on a 1 to 1 basis
  • Effective budget and performance management.
Pattern of hours

Pattern of hours: Wednesday 1:30pm to 5pm, Thursday and Friday full days (9am to 5pm).
