Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 consistent weekdays of availability.
  • Background in Early Years, Primary, Secondary or Post-16 education.
  • Experience with Makaton or PECS is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 or 2:1 support to children in their homes or public settings.
  • Deliver creative sessions that meet individual learner needs.
  • Work only during term time, typically 3 to 5 hours a day.
  • Be part of a flexible, expert-led team.

We're currently looking for Education Specialists to join our team in providing bespoke and holistic support to children and young people who are out of mainstream education. If you’re passionate about supporting learners with SEND and want a role where every day makes a difference, we would love to hear from you.

What you’ll be doing
  • Providing 1:1 or 2:1 support to children and young people in their homes or a suitable public setting
  • Delivering personalised, creative sessions that reflect each learner’s needs, interests and abilities
  • Working term-time only, with sessions typically lasting 3 to 5 hours during the school day
  • Working flexibly (on a bank staff contract) as part of a compassionate, expert-led team
Who we’re looking for
  • Education professionals with SEN and SEMH needs experience, such as Autism, learning disabilities and challenging behaviour
  • Those from Early Years, Primary, Secondary or Post-16 backgrounds, including specialist SEND settings (experience with Makaton, PECS and behaviour support is an advantage)
  • Individuals with a minimum of 2 consistent weekdays of availability
  • Professionals with up-to-date understanding of safeguarding and child protection
