Job summary

A modular building company seeks a Semi Skilled Joiner/Cabin Fitter in the Driffield area, offering £17 per hour with a minimum commitment of 40 hours weekly. Responsibilities include measuring and cutting timber, stripping porta cabins, and general labouring duties. Ideal candidates will have at least 1 year of semi-skilled joinery experience, and relevant NVQ qualifications in Joinery and Carpentry are preferred, along with strong attention to detail and reliability. Qualifications

• Ideally possess NVQ Level 1 or 2 in Joinery and Carpentry.
• Punctual and reliable, with strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Measure and cut timber accurately.
• Strip out porta cabins and prepare for modifications.
• Keep the workplace free from hazards.
• Perform basic floor laying and general labouring duties.

Pay

Main duties

• Measuring and cutting timber
• Stripping out porta cabins
• Marking up timber walls
• Plaster boarding
• Keeping workplace hazard free
• Semi Skilled Joinery
• Basic floor laying
• General labouring duties

Qualifications / Experience

• Minimum 1 year semi-skilled joinery experience
• Ideally NVQ Level 1 or 2 in Joinery and Carpentry
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure
• Can work as part of a team
• Can work if needed alone and unsupervised
• Ideally modular construction experience but not essential
• Punctual, reliable and a hard worker
