About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Semi Senior Accountant to take on increased responsibility while working with a varied portfolio of clients. You\'ll be primarily focused on the preparation of accounts across different business structures while having the support of senior colleagues to guide your development.

Semi Senior Accountant Responsibilities

• Prepare sole trader and partnership accounts from source records
• Prepare limited company statutory financial statements to review stage
• Maintain client books and records on regular basis including VAT return preparation and submission
• Prepare corporation tax computation calculations and tax returns
• Conduct on-site visits to clients as required
• Provide comprehensive support to clients and handle accounting queries
• Liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients when needed
• Prepare management accounts for various client types
• Provide assistance to trainees and supervise junior colleagues
• Support managers with assigned tasks and communicate progress effectively
• Complete daily timesheets accurately and maintain organised workflow

Semi Senior Accountant Requirements

• AAT Level 4 qualification or equivalent with minimum 2 years practice experience
• Knowledge of accounting software including Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage
• Ability to show initiative and work effectively within a team environment
• Strong client relationship building capabilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across all levels
• Strong organisational skills with ability to manage own workload effectively
• Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with industry changes
• Ability to complete files to review stage with minimal supervision
