Role: SEMH Teacher (Primary)

Location: Trafford, Greater Manchester

Salary: MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Start Date: January 2026 (or earlier by negotiation)

About the School

Our school is a welcoming, inclusive setting that supports children aged 5-11, many of whom present with SEMH needs, behavioural challenges, or have experienced trauma and adverse childhood experiences. We pride ourselves on our therapeutic approach, strong pastoral care, and a curriculum designed to meet every child\'s individual needs.

The Role
  • Teach a small group of pupils with additional SEMH needs within a supportive classroom environment
  • Develop and deliver creative, engaging lessons tailored to pupils\' individual learning and emotional needs
  • Work closely with teaching assistants, pastoral leads and external agencies
  • Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation and resilience in young learners
  • Build trusting relationships with pupils, parents and the wider school community
What We're Looking For
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) - essential
  • Experience working with children with SEMH, behavioural needs or trauma-informed approaches
  • A calm, consistent and empathetic approach to teaching and behaviour management
  • High levels of emotional intelligence, patience and a genuine commitment to inclusion
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
