Overview

Are you passionate about making a difference in a young person's life? Do you have experience supporting children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? Prospero Teaching are looking for a compassionate, patient, and proactive Mentor to support a Year 5 pupil in the Farnborough area.

Responsibilities

As a Mentor, you will:

This young person is currently on a partial timetable and requires tailored support to help them thrive. The Mentor will play a key role in:

  • Building self-esteem and confidence
  • Engaging in light learning activities
  • Fostering positive adult relationships
  • Providing emotional support and encouragement
  • Supporting emotional regulation and social skills
  • Encouraging participation in learning tasks
  • Liaising with school staff and other professionals as needed
About you
  • Experienced in working with children with SEMH needs
  • Calm, nurturing, and resilient
  • Able to build trust and rapport with young people
  • Creative in engaging children in learning and play
  • Reliable and committed to consistent support
Position details
