Job description
Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of Joint Treatment production at our Surrey location, and Supply Chain Distribution at our Port Kells location, with an emphasis on employee safety and efficiency while ensuring products meet or exceed quality standards and customer expectations.
  • Oversee daily production, supply‑chain, quality, and maintenance departments; while planning long‑term goals and projects.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a multidisciplinary team, recognizing employee strengths and providing feedback to motivate individuals and achieve departmental goals.
  • Foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement by implementing and monitoring safety programs in compliance with all requirements.
  • Promote diversity, inclusion, and positive employee relations.
  • Direct maintenance activities to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Drive and support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other methodologies.
  • Develop and execute supply chain strategies to ensure timely supply of raw materials, efficient warehousing, and delivery of finished goods.
  • Collaborate with other departments to align production and supply‑chain operations with overall plant objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier & customer relationships, manage risk, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Proactively identify and report unsafe conditions or hazards, and cooperate with colleagues to enhance safety, quality, and operational standards, ensuring strict adherence to all WorkSafeBC and OHSA health and safety rules.
  • Manage departmental budgets, monitor KPIs, and drive cost and efficiency improvements.
  • Analyze operational data to identify opportunities for cost control and process optimization.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on performance, spending, and savings.
  • Lead capital projects, infrastructure upgrades, and non‑routine maintenance.
  • Collaborate with research and engineering teams on new product development and process enhancements.
  • Assist in the implementation of CGC/USG Model Programs, Safety Rules, VWIs/JSAs and Standard Operating Procedures, as required.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3-5 years' leadership experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or production management.
  • Motivate team members towards achieving objectives, prioritize tasks effectively, and manage personnel through coaching, conflict resolution, and discipline.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Handle multiple projects simultaneously under pressure with a good sense of initiative.
  • Strong knowledge of safety compliance, continuous improvement (Lean, Six Sigma, 5S), and predictive maintenance practices.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and decision‑making skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite; experience with KPI tracking and reporting tools.
  • Ability to travel periodically as required in Canada and the U.S.
