Security Trainer - Manchester (Multiple Sites)

Salary: £27,583
Car Allowance: £3,750
Contract: Permanent, Full-time
Specialism: SIA Training – must have at least 2 years of frontline UK security experience within the last 5 years.

Role Overview

You will deliver high-quality Adult Education programmes for our client, supporting a caseload of learners through engaging, structured training that leads to positive outcomes, progression, and achievement. The role requires proactive coaching, strong learner support, and consistent delivery of good or better learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and support a caseload of learners, ensuring regular engagement and timely progress.
  • Prepare and deliver training that meets requirements for achievement, funding, and Ofsted compliance.
  • Create individual learning plans, including Maths, English, and Digital Skills where applicable.
  • Motivate learners, remove barriers to progress, and set clear expectations with stakeholders.
  • Prepare learners for assessments/tests and provide timely, personalised feedback.
  • Work closely with IQAs and maintain strong relationships with partners and stakeholders.
  • Produce accurate KPI-based reports and contribute to high-quality learning materials.
  • Demonstrate positive behaviours aligned with our client's values.
  • Ensure evidence is captured to claim funding and support timely completions.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
  • Relevant occupational experience and qualifications.
  • Level 3 Award in Education & Training.
  • Level 3 Awards in Conflict Management, Physical Intervention, and First Aid at Work.
  • Functional Skills Level 2 (or equivalent) in English, Maths and ICT.
  • Minimum of 2 years UK frontline security experience within the last 5 years.
  • Strong communication skills and experience coaching learners.
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and meet performance targets.
Desirable
  • Coaching qualification, PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • TAQA/A1/D32/33 Assessor qualification.
  • Knowledge of government-funded training.
  • Experience supporting learners into sustainable employment.
