Small Works Engineer - Security Systems (Install / Commissioning)

Location: London

Salary: Competitive in Industry + Uncapped Engineer bonus scheme

Trinity are hiring a Works Engineer to join our dedicated team in London. In the role, you will be providing installation, commissioning and small works of our clients fire alarm and security systems.

Working within a defined region of the United Kingdom, you will have the opportunity to obtain certifications in industry leading systems including Gent and earn through our engineering commission scheme!

The role of Works Engineer

As a Works Engineer at Trinity, you will be providing installation and completing small works to our client’s security systems. You will be completing the scheduled work in a timely and efficient manner, adhering to Trinity’s high‑quality standards. You will be working as part of a skilled team of Works Engineer’s and will be supported by our wider support departments to provide high quality service and customer experience.

The key tasks include the following:

  • Carry out all other necessary works required at customer premises in accordance with the company’s quality standards.
  • Effectively communicate with customers to ensure a good understanding of system and site status.
  • Liaise with works administrators and other internal stakeholders to ensure our commitments are met.
  • Work to a planned install and small works schedule.

What skills do you need?
  • Experience in installing and completing small works on security, CCTV and access control systems to relevant British Standards.
  • Ability to identify all types of cable associated with security systems, and to correctly test and terminate the cable ends in accordance with manufacturers’ instructions.
  • A logical approach to system fault diagnosis and rectification.
  • To always provide outstanding customer service.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
What technical knowledge do you need?
  • A comprehensive understanding of the causes and cures of intruder, CCTV and access control problems, including an ability to recommend changes to practices and processes that may cause false alarms as well as recommending changes to the systems.
  • Basic Electrical Safety training (ECA).
