Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic individuals to join our Portering and Security Team at Broomfield Hospital. We are expanding our efficient, high-quality service to enhance and improve the care provided to patients, visitors and staff. These posts offer flexibility with a variety of shifts including nights and weekends; we are happy to discuss Full Time and Part Time options.
Previous experience in a portering/security role within a hospital environment would be an advantage, but is not essential as we offer full training and support for all our staff. If you enjoy interacting with a variety of people or prefer an active role rather than an office job, we are looking for you.

- Provide a timely and effective post room service, sorting and delivering post as required.
- Carry out routine waste collection as required.
- Exchange empty medical gas cylinders for full on request, following appropriate procedures.
- Provide on-site assistance to members of the public, staff and contractors wishing to park on site.
- Ensure compliance with all Trust policies and procedures relevant to the area of work.

- Attend security shouts as required (full training to be given) and respond to fire shouts as needed.
