• Valid Door Supervision or Security Guarding License is necessary.
• Five-year checkable employment history or documentation is required.

Responsibilities

• Act as a visual deterrent on the shop floor.
• Safely detain offenders following H&S training.
• Utilize store security systems, including CCTV and EAS gates.
• Collaborate with covert security operatives.
• Investigate losses and support inquiries about known offenders.
• Complete accurate incident reports and company documentation.
• Report crime incidents using a company-provided tablet.
• Conduct routine patrols to ensure customer safety.
• Record patrols in daily activity sheets.
• Provide security updates during store briefings.
• Conduct shift handovers to ensure service continuity.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all.

Retail Security Officer - Lidl - Roman Road Taunton

Location: Taunton (TA1 2BD)

Position: 42 hours per week, overtime available for holiday/absence cover

Pay: £13.00 per hour

Shifts: Day shifts Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays (Up to 12 hour a day between the hours of 8am - 10pm Monday - Saturday, and 9am to 4pm on Sundays)
