Cyber Security Education & Awareness Coordinator

Royal Mail Group is on an exciting journey to strengthen and modernise its cybersecurity culture - and we're looking for someone with curiosity, drive, and a passion for helping people learn to join us.

We're hiring a Cyber Security Education & Awareness Coordinator, a junior or entry level role designed for someone eager to grow their career in cybersecurity. If you enjoy organising, communicating, and helping others understand complex topics in simple ways, this could be the perfect opportunity.

About the role

As our Cyber Security Education & Awareness Coordinator, you'll play a key part in delivering engaging initiatives that help colleagues across Royal Mail Group stay secure. Working closely with the Cyber Culture & Change Manager, you'll support the rollout of training, awareness campaigns, phishing simulations, and internal communications that shape our security culture.

You'll also collaborate with the wider Cyber Strategy team, contributing to forward looking projects that enhance the security of our products, data, and systems. This is a role where your ideas matter, your development is supported, and your work has organisation wide impact.

What you'll be doing
  • Supporting cybersecurity training and awareness campaigns to ensure smooth delivery and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Analysing engagement metrics and producing dashboards to highlight trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Helping plan and run educational events such as workshops, webinars, and lunch and learn sessions.
  • Coordinating internal communications across email, intranet, and other channels to promote key cybersecurity messages.
  • Creating engaging content including articles, infographics, and training materials.
  • Providing administrative support such as scheduling, reporting, and maintaining programme documentation.
  • Supporting broader Cyber Strategy initiatives that uplift cybersecurity maturity across the organisation.
  • Collaborating with other Cyber Security teams to ensure a unified and consistent approach to awareness and culture.
What we're looking for

This role is ideal for someone early in their career who wants to grow in cybersecurity. You don't need to be a technical expert - we're far more interested in your mindset and potential.

You’ll thrive here if you have:

  • Strong emotional intelligence and communication skills
  • A proactive, organised approach to work
  • Confidence working with data and learning new tools
  • Creativity in how you present information
  • A genuine interest in cybersecurity and helping others understand it
Why join us?

You'll be part of a supportive team committed to your development, with opportunities to learn from experienced cybersecurity professionals and gain exposure to strategic initiatives across a major UK organisation. This is a chance to build a meaningful career while helping protect one of the nation's most recognised brands.

Extra Benefits
  • Family friendly support – enhanced maternity pay, paternity leave, adoption leave and shared parental leave
  • Discounts and offers – there are more than 800 offers to help you save on things like groceries, days out, holidays and your household bills (Available only to perm employees)
  • Supportive and generous company sick pay
  • Your Wellbeing – you and your family have 24/7 access to services and tools to help you get the most out of life. From your physical and mental health to financial and social support and advice. It's free, and it's for everyone.
