About the role

Our Balfour Beatty Highways business has a terrific opportunity for a Section Engineer to support the Design Engineering team in delivering projects related to our Lower Thames Crossing project .

What you'll be doing

  • Carry out complex setting out

  • Coaches subordinates in the use of setting out techniques

  • Actively uses the Specification as a reference document

  • Identifies, raises, and actions Non-Conformance Reports

  • Identifies and raises Technical Queries with possible solutions

  • Produces Method Statements and Risk Assessments

  • Produces a weekly programme and measures progress against KPI’s


Who we're looking for

  • Able to carry out complex setting out

  • Understands and has experience of producing ACP

  • Understanding of construction tolerances

  • Awareness of Specification and other Contract documents

  • Understands Permit System and actively raises permits to Work

  • Good understanding of key contract documentation
