Overview

Our client is one of Scotland's top construction companies and civil engineering contractors, with headquarters in Glasgow and operating across the Central Belt and Southern Scotland. They are recruiting experienced civils-oriented Section Engineers for roads/highways, infrastructure, earthworks and drainage projects in the Central Belt of Scotland, where you’ll manage a team of Site Engineers. Solid experience of Roadworks/Highways and/or Structures, Earthworks and Drainage would be highly beneficial. They work as Principal Contractor for the majority of their clients. They are currently recruiting for talented, motivated and ambitious section engineers to join their established civils team on a major civils/infrastructure project in the Central Belt of Scotland.

Responsibilities

• As a section engineer you will be responsible for the management of specified sections of the construction site to achieve project delivery objectives while maintaining health and safety, quality, environmental impact and cost control.
• Manage a team of Site Engineers and coordinate work on site to ensure alignment with project plans and schedules.
• Engage with project stakeholders to support planning, sequencing and delivery of civil works for roads/highways, infrastructure, earthworks and drainage.

Qualifications & Experience

• Experience as a section engineer with solid civil engineering background.
• Relevant industry qualification (HND/HNC/BEng) or equivalent.
• Hands-on approach to commercial and planning aspects of the project.
• Solid experience in roads/highways and/or structures, earthworks and drainage preferred.
