A leading multinational food company in Birmingham seeks a Finance Planning Manager to enhance financial performance and drive operational efficiencies. The successful candidate will manage finance planning processes, ensuring compliance and accuracy in financial reporting. Experience in the consumer packaged goods industry and strong leadership abilities are essential. This role is a Fixed-Term Contract with a hybrid work arrangement, allowing flexibility for remote work once a week.

You will be manager in a team responsible for the overall financial integrity and performance of a country, category, Supply Chain or FP&A. You will support the Senior Manager or Director in data collection to prepare business proposals, verify assumptions, check daily execution and support delivery of overall objectives and ensure the integrity and timeliness of reporting. You may also have a direct report or manage third party providers resources.

The role offers a rare opportunity to gain hands‑on finance experience within a manufacturing environment, through the unique hybrid experience, blending financial expertise with manufacturing operations.
This is a standalone role; there are no direct reports or management of third‑party resources associated with this position.
Preference will be given to candidates with a background in either manufacturing or finance.
This is a Fixed-Term Contract (FTC) to cover a secondment, with an anticipated end date of 31.12.2026.
Professional certifications such as CIMA or ACCA are considered a plus but are not mandatory for this role.
The role operates primarily on‑site, with flexibility for up to one day of remote work per week.
This position reports directly to a Section Manager. The successful candidate will be part of a supportive finance team, working alongside three other Section Controllers.
Collaboration will be essential with key stakeholders including Supply Chain, FP&A teams, and Senior Managers.
