Are you a motivated and enthusiastic Secondary English Teacher seeking to make a lasting impact in a small, independent school in Sheffield? A fantastic opportunity has opened up for an immediate start until the end of the academic year, with the potential to extend in September.
Position: Secondary English Teacher
Location: Sheffield
Contract: Temporary, with the possibility of continuation in September
Pay: £150 - £200 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Main Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging English lessons tailored to Key Stage 3 students.
* Cultivate a welcoming and inclusive learning atmosphere that supports both academic growth and personal development.
* Implement school guidelines and contribute to curriculum design – experience in curriculum development is a bonus but not essential.
* Assess and monitor student progress, adjusting teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning needs.
* Work closely with colleagues to maintain a collaborative and supportive classroom environment.
* Take part in regular education and training sessions to enhance your teaching techniques.
What We’re Looking For:
* Qualified Secondary English Teacher with QTS or equivalent.
* Experience in delivering English lessons to KS3 students.
* Excellent communication, classroom management, and organisational abilities.
* Passion for promoting literacy and nurturing a love of reading and writing.
* Current DBS registered on the update service or willingness to apply – assistance provided.
* Commitment to ongoing professional growth through targeted education and training.
