Job summary

A leading cruise company is seeking a qualified Second Engineer (Watchkeeper) for their vessels. The candidate should have proven experience on cruise or comparable vessels, holding valid STCW certificates. Responsibilities include maintaining safe operations in the engine room, supervising maintenance activities, and ensuring adherence to safety regulations. This role offers a contract of 3 months on / 3 months off, embarking from Ushuaia on 19 January 2026.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Second Engineer (Watchkeeper) on cruise vessels.
• Physically and medically fit for shipboard duties.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe engine room watch.
• Execute maintenance on Main and Auxiliary engines.
• Supervise on-watch team ensuring orders are followed.
