Location: Southampton

Salary: £23,000 - £25,000 pro rata

Contract: Seasonal / Fixed-term

Our client is a well-established ecological consultancy seeking a Seasonal Ecologist to support a busy field season in the Southampton area.

This role is ideal for an enthusiastic ecologist looking to gain hands‑on experience across a range of ecological surveys and projects, working alongside a supportive and experienced team.

The Role
  • Assisting with a variety of ecological surveys, including (but not limited to) protected species surveys and habitat assessments
  • Collecting high-quality field data and supporting reporting tasks
  • Working on sites across Southampton and the surrounding areas
  • Supporting senior ecologists with project delivery during peak season
About You
  • A degree (or working towards one) in Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related discipline
  • Some previous field survey experience is desirable
  • A strong interest in ecology and wildlife conservation
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings or evenings when required
  • A full UK driving licence is preferred
