Job description

£60-70K + car allowance + performance bonus

London Flexible | Hybrid working with frequent travel to Banbury required

Some Scrum Master roles are about keeping the wheels turning. Running ceremonies, updating Jira and nudging people about stand-ups. This isn't one of those roles. This is about designing how a business transforms and then making it happen.

The role

BFS isn't tweaking around the edges, this is digital transformation at scale. New ways of working, new governance, new technology and new expectations. Transformation 5.0 is well funded, fully backed by the ELT and genuinely bought into by the business. Decisions are made quickly and Agile isn't something we talk about, it's how work gets done. You won't inherit “business as usual”, you'll help shape what comes next.

What You'll Be Doing

You’ll sit at the heart of cross-functional value management teams spanning Technology, Operations, Risk and the wider business.

You’ll
  • Plan and manage work packages and sprints that deliver real, measurable value
  • Lead Agile ceremonies that matter: sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, burn-down charts, the lot
  • Map risks and issues early, making sure they're actively managed, not parked
  • Remove blockers fast, keeping momentum high and teams focused
  • Work as part of a genuinely empowered cross-functional squad that direcltly impacts decisions on technology, what gets delivered first and where money is spent
  • Track performance through Agile metrics and use the data to drive continuous improvement
  • Partner closely with change and adoption colleagues so what's built actually sticks

This is design → build → embed.

What You’ll Bring

You’ll already be an experienced Scrum Master or Agile delivery lead, comfortable operating in complex, multi-disciplinary environments.

You’ll Bring
  • Strong knowledge of Scrum, Kanban and Agile delivery tools
  • The confidence to challenge, coach and influence senior stakeholders
  • Experience managing dependencies, risks and delivery across squads
  • A practical, delivery-focused mindset
  • Curiosity, commercial awareness and a genuine appetite to innovate

Most importantly, you’ll believe Agile works best when teams are trusted, empowered and supported to make decisions.

The good stuff
  • £60-70K salary + Car allowance (£5,610) + performance bonus (up to 20%)
  • You’ll work within lean, Agile governance frameworks, where delivery isn’t slowed down by layers of approval
  • You’ll have real influence over tooling, priorities and delivery decisions
  • There’s proper backing and budget to invest in modern tech, not wish-lists and workarounds
  • You’ll be part of a best-in-class digital transformation programme, not an experiment
  • You’ll help design how the organisation works in the future, not just operate within it
  • Private healthcare for you and your family
  • Company pension scheme
  • Flexible benefits (gym membership, tech, health assessments and more)
  • Access to an online wellbeing centre
  • Discounts with a wide range of retailers
  • 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, increasing with service, with buy/sell options
  • Electric Vehicle / Plug-in Hybrid Vehicle scheme
