Job summary

Job description
Position Overview

The post is to support the Healthy Family Team in the delivery of a universal and targeted 0‑19 Healthy Child and Public Health Nursing Programme. This will be delivered in line with National and Local guidelines and public health priorities. Working proactively using a partnership approach to promote health and tackle inequalities within the level of competencies required for the post.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Healthy Family Team.
  • Support the delivery of the National Child Measurement Programme.
  • Occasionally assist children, young people and families within schools or other identified community settings.
  • Support screening activities and assist the Broxtowe District Administration lead with related duties.
  • Work flexibly across the Broxtowe District while being based at Beeston Health Centre.
  • Willingness to undertake breastfeeding training and support feeding groups as required.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Full UK driving licence and a vehicle for business use are required – reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.
  • Applicants with no prior NHS experience would normally be placed at the bottom of the band; the salary is below the minimum required for sponsorship of a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa.
  • Applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check, which will be deducted from their salary over the first two months of employment (Standard £26.40 or Enhanced £54.40). Enrolment for the DBS Update Service and its annual fee (£16) is encouraged.
