Overview

Science Technician

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting for a full time Science Technician to work in an exceptional School in central Hull, starting ASAP and lasting initially until October 24th. This is to cover a period of absence, so the exact length of time is difficult to establish, but may well extend. Payment for this position will be between £100 and £115 per day depending on experience and qualifications. Working hours for this position will be 9:30 - 4:30.

This school is located in central Hull and has an extremely positive reputation in the local area. With students that are determined to learn and discipline/behaviour in the school being extremely good, this is a fantastic place to work and aid students in their science journey.

Tradewind will also support your development during your placement and beyond through our CPD via The National College. You will be put onto all of the same CPD as permanent staff members, and encouraged to grow.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare experiments requested in requisitions from teachers and ensure that health and safety is properly adhered to.
  • Assist students with practical work and/or run demonstrations (optional).
  • Contribute to the smooth running of the science department.
Qualifications and requirements
  • Hold a qualification in a science background
  • Experience working within schools in the UK (desirable)
  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • CV must cover the full CV history
  • Legal right to work in the UK
