Science Technician – Wonderful Secondary School in Crawley

Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm
Location: Crawley

Pink Tile Education is delighted to be supporting a fantastic secondary school in Crawley in their search for a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Technician. This is a brilliant opportunity to join a warm, supportive school community and play an important role in ensuring high-quality science learning for students. The successful candidate will work closely with the science department, including providing support to a trainee teacher, helping with lesson preparation, practical set‑ups, and the smooth running of the science laboratories.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, set up, and tidy away equipment and materials for practical science lessons
  • Support a trainee teacher during lessons and classroom activities
  • Maintain and organise laboratory equipment, ensuring safety standards are met
  • Assist in the preparation of chemical solutions and materials
  • Monitor and manage stock levels, including ordering resources when required
  • Ensure safe storage and disposal of chemicals and biological materials
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well‑organised working environment
  • Support teaching staff with demonstrations where required
  • Follow all school policies related to health and safety, safeguarding, and laboratory management
