Science Technician – Secondary School
Location: Chelmsford, Essex
Pay: £90 – £120 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: ASAP

A thriving secondary school in Chelmsford is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Science Technician to join their supportive Science department ASAP. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for science and a practical, hands-on approach to play a key role in supporting teaching and learning.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare, set up, and maintain equipment and resources for practical science lessons.
  • Support teachers and students during experiments to ensure safe and effective learning.
  • Maintain stock levels, order resources, and ensure laboratories are kept organised.
  • Follow strict health and safety procedures, including handling chemicals and equipment safely.
  • Assist with demonstrations, projects, and extracurricular science activities where required.
What We’re Looking For
  • Previous experience as a Science Technician (or in a lab-based role) is desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of science equipment and health & safety in a school or lab environment.
