Salary: £90–£110 per day PAYE

Start: ASAP or October

Contract: Full-time, Long-term Supply

Do you love the buzz of a busy science lab? From prepping experiments that wow pupils to making sure everything runs like clockwork, this role puts you right at the heart of learning.

We’re looking for the Science Technician to support a thriving secondary school. You’ll be the go-to person for setting up practical lessons, keeping equipment safe and ready, and lending a hand when things get messy.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Prepping and maintaining science equipment and chemicals for lessons
  • Supporting teachers with experiments and demonstrations
  • Ensuring health & safety is always top notch
  • Keeping the lab organised and stocked
  • Occasionally helping students get the most out of their practical work
What we’re looking for:
  • A science background (experience working within a school setting is desirable)
  • Organised, reliable, and calm under pressure
  • A team player who enjoys working alongside teachers and pupils
  • Someone with a genuine interest in making science fun and accessible
  • You must have an enhanced DBS (essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
